Alan Inman Writes

Father-in-Law

He sharpens his weapon
He sharpens his sword
Come watch me clean my gun
he beckons
Which is fine
You can watch me clean mine
I respond.

Excremental

I squirt the leftovers
of being Human
onto a page.
I leave behind particles
of who I am, who I used
to be.
I make my apologies
for a nasty little poem.

Marabaggio

This one doesn't even get
a mention in Dante's Inferno.
It's absurd, his crimes.
Resting as he now is on
the devil's left shoulder.
